Description

The device has a sturdy and durable two-column body and a mechanically height-adjustable upper beam. The motor, worm gear mechanism and electronic hardware are located in the lower body. The speed of the loading head is 6 mm/min. over the BC 100 TFT Automatic Control and Data Acquisition Unit. with 60 mm/min. can be adjusted within the range. The vertical movement of the loading plate is limited by the disconnect switch for safety. Vertical height adjustment can be made easily by using the up and down movement buttons on the control panel.

The measuring system consists of a load cell with a capacity of 50 kN, a linear potentiometric displacement sensor (25 mm x 0.001 mm) mounted on the crushing head and a BC 100 automatic control and data acquisition unit.

The device is also suitable for testing 6” (152.4 mm) diameter samples according to ASTM D 5581 standard.

The load plate can be moved up and down using the handwheel supplied with the device for calibration purposes.
